The Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club is giving away $100,000 as part of the Big Bag of Cash fundraiser

The Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club is hosting a Big Bag of Cash fundraiser featuring a $100,000 grand prize and a 50/50 bonus draw in support of community initiatives in the Medicine Hat area.

Tickets are on sale until the draw date of Jan. 8, 2026.

The draw will take place at Rossco’s Wing House, with only 2,500 tickets available for the $100,000 prize.

The winner of the 50/50 draw will take home 50% of the total jackpot, estimated at around $57,710 as of Dec. 17, 2025.

Jason Steinkey, a member of the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club, said all the money raised from tickets stays local.

“The great thing about us is all the money we raise gets used for different programs,” Steinkey said.

“We have school milk programs, we support the Medicine Hat Food Bank, we have the Kinplex, and there’s the Kin Skate Park, the Big Marble, [and] there’s a Kinsman Aquatic Center,” he added.

“So we’ve donated a bunch of money to that.”

The Kinsmen Club is an all-Canadian service organization made up of active community volunteers who work together and enhance the quality of life in the community.

Boasting a dynamic membership from all walks of life, the Kinsmen Club promotes service, fellowship, positive values and national pride.

Steinkey said giving back to the community is a win-win for everybody.

“We all live here, we all work here, so if we can all work together to make Medicine Hat a better place, it’s great,” Steinkey said.

The Big Bag of Cash tickets are $100 a piece, and the 50/50 prize can be bought in packages of $10 for one ticket, $20 for four tickets, $50 for 20 tickets, or $100 for 100 tickets.

Tickets can be purchased at the Medicine Hat Mall or online on the Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club website.
