Leader RCMP looking to identify individual after structure fire in Fox Valley

Leader RCMP are working to identify an individual captured on video near the scene of a suspicious residential fire in Fox Valley.

A report of a structure fire at a residence on Centre Street in the southwest Saskatchewan village came in to Mounties on Nov. 22, 2025, at about 2:45 a.m.

Officers and firefighters responded, and when Mounties arrived, the residence was fully engulfed.

The residence had no occupants at the time of the fire.

Based on the evidence police have gathered, they believe the fire to be suspicious.

As part of the investigation, Leader RCMP checked the surrounding area for witnesses and video captured.

Officers collected footage of an individual, believed to be a man, walking down the street toward the residence carrying a jerry can.

Shortly after, the suspect is seen running in the opposite direction down the street.

A video was also captured of the man in a truck.

The truck is described as a mid-90s to early 2000s light grey/silver lifted pick-up truck..

At the time of the incident, the male was seen wearing dark coloured clothing, a face covering, and overalls.

Leader RCMP continue to investigate and is asking the public for assistance in identifying the suspect and the truck.

Mounties said that the minivan in the photos and video is not believed to be connected to this incident.

Anyone with information about this incident, or who recognizes the suspect or truck in the video, is asked to report it to police by calling 310-RCMP.
