Vulcan couple ready to live long and prosper with $250K LOTTO 6/49 prize

Karen and Norman Kristjansson are the latest Albertans to win big on LOTTO 6/49.

The Vulcan couple took home a $250,853.20 prize on the Oct. 11 draw and said the whole experience has been a big, exciting surprise.

“I go on the WCLC website to look at the winning numbers on the draws,” Karen said.

“When we saw that our numbers matched, Norm couldn’t believe it!”

“I’m used to mostly paying for them,” Norman said jokingly.

The pair said now that they’re settling into the idea of winning a major lottery prize, they’ve been talking about what to do with it.

“Oh, [we’ve had] lots of discussions,” said Karen.

“No decisions,” Norman said with a laugh.

“It’s just very exciting,” Karen continued.

“We’re really happy to have won!”

The Kristjansson’s purchased their winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Market Street Vulcan at 221 Second St. S in Vulcan.

They won their prize by matching five out of the six numbers selected in the Oct. 11 LOTTO 6/49 draw, plus the Bonus number: 5, 23, 25, 40, 41, 43 and Bonus 34.
