Medicine Hat Police use drone to locate and arrest man

A 36-year-old Medicine Hat man is charged with obstruction, possession of stolen property, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

On Dec. 1, 2025, at about 10:40 p.m., members of the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a vehicle prowling in the 300 block of 20 Street Northeast.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a male suspect had fled the scene on foot.

With the assistance of a drone, officers located an individual nearby who matched the provided description and was exhibiting suspicious behaviour.

Police say that further investigation confirmed this individual’s involvement with the reported incident.
