Medicine Hat man arrested in connection with multiple break and enter and robbery offenses

The Medicine Hat Police Service has arrested a 41-year-old Medicine Hat man in connection with a series of incidents involving break and enter, robbery, and other related offences.

On Monday, Dec. 1, officers observed a male leaving an apartment building on an e-bike near Second Avenue Northeast.

The individual was identified as a suspect wanted on outstanding warrants stemming from a break and enter and robbery investigation on Nov. 23.

When approached by officers, the suspect provided a false name and attempted to flee, first on the e-bike and then on foot.

After a brief pursuit, the suspect was apprehended without further incident.

During the arrest, officers recovered a knife, suspected narcotics, and determined the e-bike had been reported stolen.

As a result of the investigation, Adam Massini faces the following charges:

  • Obstructing a Police Officer
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
  • Possession of Identity Documents
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance
  • Breach of Release Order (x3)

Further investigation revealed that at the time of his arrest, Massini was fleeing the scene of an additional incident involving the unlawful confinement of two individuals.

Additional charges include:

  • Break and Enter and Robbery (x2)
  • Assault with a Weapon (x2)
  • Assault
  • Uttering Threats (x2)
  • Unlawful Confinement (x2)
  • Fail to Comply with a Release Order (x2)

Massini was held for a bail hearing and has been remanded into custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for Dec. 9, 2025.
