Nov 25, 2025 | 12:12 PM

Redcliff RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Monday, Nov.25, 2025, involving a school bus and a passenger vehicle near Schuler, shortly before 10 a.m.

The collision at Highway 41 and Township Road 154 had the highway closed in all directions, but it has since reopened.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Prairie Rose Public Schools (PRPS) director of communication Angela Baron confirmed that the bus involved was one of its own, operating on Route 103 to Schuler School.

“We are relieved to confirm that all students on board were safe. Students were transported to the school by a second bus, where staff were prepared to welcome and support them,” Baron said.

“Emergency responders attended the scene, including an ambulance dispatched to assess both drivers. Both individuals were understandably shaken and were taken for further medical care as a precaution,” she added.

“Prairie Rose Public Schools also sent our school psychologist to Schuler School to support any students or families who wished to speak about the event.”

Baron said that the PRPS accident response team attended the site to conduct a full investigation in accordance with division procedures.

“We understand that news of an accident can be distressing, and we want to assure our communities that the safety and well-being of our students remains our highest priority,” Baron said.

“We thank emergency responders, school staff, and our transportation team for their swift and professional response.”
