Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede announces 2026 Summer Night Show lineup

Nov 25, 2025 | 5:47 PM

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede announced its summer night show lineup for the 2026 Stampede.

Kicking off Stampede Week is Canadian rocker Tom Cochrane with singer Barney Bentall at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Country artist Johnny Reid, with local country singer Morgan Klaiber, will close out Stampede Week at 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Ticket packages are $145 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 1, which include gate admission and a ticket for both shows.

Individual tickets are $80 for each show, also including gate admission.

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede general manager, Ron Edwards, said we’re aiming for a quality over quantity approach by hosting two shows instead of three.

“The rodeo and the night show are going on at one time. That was a pretty big rush for us, [and] we’ve got two quality night shows, so we’re excited about that,” Edwards said.

“You’ve got to get those shows, people aren’t going to forget, and make an experience for them.”

Edwards said none of this could be possible without help from volunteers.

“We have great volunteers, we have wonderful sponsors, [and] I have a great staff. We’re a 365-day operation, not a four-day fair,” Edwards said.

The Thursday rodeo could take place at night, along with other changes that could be announced.

“We might be tweaking the weekend, just figuring out what works best for everything because you have so many events here,” Edwards said.

“It gives people time to get there. So we’ll make those announcements early in the spring.”

Tom Cochrane has had a long and illustrious career spanning almost 50 years, most notably known for the release of Life Is A Highway from his breakthrough album Mad Mad World.

This record received Diamond Status in Canada and sold over one million copies.

The record sold another six million copies worldwide, earning Cochrane a Grammy nomination in the United States.

Barney Bentall and his band, The Legendary Hearts, sold over half a million records, won a Juno Award and toured extensively in Canada, becoming a staple on Canadian radio.

The critically acclaimed singer and songwriter, Johnny Reid, is widely known for his lyrical honesty and musical ability.

Throughout his career, Reid has won platinum-selling albums, 28 Canadian Country Music Awards, five Juno Awards and multiple sold-out national arena tours.

Morgan Klaiber is a ranch-raised cowgirl who brings a work ethic learned from the ranch to her fresh new approach in the music business.
