Brooks RCMP arrest man with outstanding warrants, and man in dinosaur costume for mischief in separate incidents

Nov 5, 2025 | 9:40 AM

Brooks RCMP arrested a man with two outstanding warrants for failing to comply with release order conditions on Friday, Oct. 31, at 10:20 a.m.

City Peace Officer requested Mounties’ assistance after identifying the Brooks man, who was a passenger in a vehicle at a traffic stop.

The man was arrested and held for a bail hearing, which resulted in him being remanded into custody.

Halloween then got interesting for Mounties when a report came in from an employee at the Brooks Hotel that a man wearing a green dinosaur costume had climbed the back wall of the building, breaking a window.

Brooks RCMP responded on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at 1:56 p.m., with what they jokingly referred to as the Dinosaur Capture Unit.

Mounties located the man in his Dinosaur costume, hiding in some bushes down the street.

He was arrested for mischief and held until sober, according to the RCMP.
