Thanksgiving Day brought a record low temperature to Brooks

A new record low temperature was set in Brooks on Oct. 13, according to Environment Canada.

The weather provider recorded a temperature of –8.6 C in the community on Thanksgiving Day, breaking the previous record of –7.8 C set in 1969.

Weather records in the Brooks area have been kept since 1912.
