THANKSGIVING

The Mustard Seed serves Thanksgiving meals in Medicine Hat

Oct 9, 2025 | 11:02 AM

The Mustard Seed will deliver individual turkey dinners to shelter guests at its Eighth Street Southeast location in Medicine Hat on Friday as part of its Thanksgiving outreach.

The annual meal is part of the non-profit’s effort to bring warmth, dignity, and connection to those facing poverty, homelessness or isolation.

“Thanksgiving at The Mustard Seed is a celebration of community care,” said Laura Giesbrecht, senior director of food services.

“It’s a reminder that hope grows when we come together.”

The organization said the meals are made possible by volunteers, staff, and community members working together to prepare home-style dishes and share gratitude.

The Mustard Seed operates year-round with support from donations of food, funds and time.
