Kolody joins cross-country running program at Medicine Hat College

The Medicine Hat College Rattlers Cross-Country Running program has announce the signing of Keegan Kolody for the 2025 season.

Medicine Hat’s Kolody joins Medicine Hat College in the inclusive education program.

Kolody, who has autism is one of the top Paralympic runners in Canada.

He recently won a gold at nationals in the 800 metre event in his category.

Rattlers running coach Bill Corcoran said in a statement he is really excited to have Kelody as a varsity athlete this year.

“He has trained with our group for a number of years, and now he’s a MHC student,” Corcoran said.

“Keegan is one of the top Paralympic runners in Canada in his category. He’s competitive in both Paralympic and able-bodied races and should help our men’s team up the standings in ACAC competition this fall.”

Kolody said in a statement that his is excited to be a Rattler and attend Medicine Hat College.

“I look forward to meeting new people, training and competing with everyone on the team,” Kolody said.

“Running has been a part of my life since Grade 9 at Dr. Roy Wilson and Medicine Hat High School. This year will be a great season.”
