The T. rex Discovery Centre in Eastend set to celebrate Scotty’s unearthed day

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum (RSM) and the T. rex Discovery Centre (TRDC) will be celebrating Scotty’s Unearthed Day.

Scotty, the world’s largest Tyrannosaurus rex, was discovered on Aug. 16, 1991, near Eastend, Sask. by a high school principal named Robert Gebhardt.

To mark the occasion, the museum in Regina will offer several activities, while the TRDC in Eastend, will also celebrate on Aug. 16.

There will be a special Scotty scavenger hunt for a Dino-themed gift basket.

Also showing in the Discovery Theatre at 2 p.m. will be Fossil Flora and Fauna of Southwest Saskatchewan.

Those in attendance at the TRDC on A will also find cupcakes and cookies, while supplies last

The TRDC is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until Labour Day.
