Calgary-based magician Christopher Cool is back with a brand new show that is guaranteed to be fun for the whole family.

Last year’s shows were standing room only; we kindly request that families attend only one performance to allow everyone to take part in the magic of Christopher Cool this year.

Stargazers’ Storycraft, Aug. 9, 2 p.m.

Celebrate the magic of the Perseids meteor shower with a night-sky themed story, an astronomy craft, and kid-friendly stargazing tips.

Teen Taskmaster Games, Aug. 13, 3 p.m.

Put your skills to the test in a series of hilariously absurd challenges inspired by the hit show Taskmaster.

Teens will compete both individually and in teams, taking on a series of hilarious, clever, and bizarre tasks using everyday items and lots of imagination.

Whether you’re building towers, composing a poem with random words, or racing to complete a mystery challenge, each task is designed to test your wit, teamwork, and ingenuity. Snacks and prizes provided.

International Overdose Day Awareness Event, Aug. 28, 4-7 p.m.

Join the Medicine Hat Drug Coalition in their 8th annual Overdose Awareness Day community event to remember and honor those “Gone Too Soon.”

This event will feature: free BBQ, reflection stations, information tables, naloxone training, open mic and more.
