The ace was the sixth of Batsel’s career, but also his third in a little over a month.

He had a hole-in-one on a par 4 at the Mickelson National Golf Course in Calgary in June, and an ace at Desert Blume Golf Club three days later, according to a social media post from the PGA of Canada.

His rounds also included an opening day 2-under 70, which had put him in a seven way tie for eighth place.

His second place finish earned him a purse of $7,905.

The tournament ran from July 28-31, 2025 and included 119 golf professionals from across Canada.
