Medicine Hat Police investigate Saturday night disturbance at stampede

A disturbance that happened during the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede on Saturday night is being investigated by the Medicine Hat Police Service.

Police were called to the north gate, gravel parking lot area of the stampede grounds at 11:21 p.m., for a complaint of an adult male and female who were involved in a verbal altercation with security staff that turned physical.

The first verbal altercation occurred at a 4-way stop in the dirt parking lot where traffic may have been impeded, and the physical altercation occurred at the gate exit onto 21st Avenue Southeast.
