Medicine Hat Police announce the passing of service dog

The Medicine Hat Police Service K9 Unit has announced the passing of police service dog Flint.

PSD Flint born in Czechia on Sept 20, 2014 joined the police service in 2016 and was trained and certified in general duties and drug detection.

He was reassigned to Cst. Jason Dola in 2019 after his initial handler left the service.

“PSD Flint served with distinction, responding to over 200 calls and aiding in numerous criminal apprehensions,” a social media post from the police service said.
