Brooks RCMP officer takes on uninvited rattle snake
A Brooks RCMP officer helped out a Newell county resident with a snake problem this week, according to a Friday news release.
The resident called the Mounties after encountering a snake at their front door on Thursday that was “very much alive, very much uninvited and in a very bad mood,” police said.
With no Alberta Fish and Wildlife officers unavailable at the time, it was up to the officer to help the resident with their slithery guest.
“Snake rastlin’, is not taught at RCMP Depot or part of our regular duties however, one brave officer stepped up – no backup, no dramatic soundtrack and retrieved the uninvited guest,” said the media statement.
