RCMP investigate suspicious death in Southwest Alberta

Alberta Mounties are investigating the suspicious death of a teenager found in Glenwood, southwest of Lethbridge over the weekend.

On Friday Cardston RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle approximately 1.5 km West of Glenwood.

Upon arrival, police located the vehicle with a deceased person inside.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been deployed and taken over the investigation.

Mounties say the deceased has been identified as a 16-year-old female.

The deceased has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner pending an autopsy.
