One-armed Medicine Hat golfer Florkowski at USGA Adaptive Open

Medicine Hat’s Jesse Florkowski is competing at the United States Golf Association Adaptive Open at the Woodmount Country Club (South Course) in Rockville, Md.

The one-armed golfer is competing at the event for the fourth time, having played every time the tournament has been hosted.

He missed the cut for round three in 2024, however he placed 11th in 2023, and ninth in 2022.

The first of the three rounds had a tee off Monday morning with the top golfers of varying disabilities from across the globe competing.

He shot one under par with a 71 to sit within the top 10 golfers in a field of 73 after Day one.

Florkowski is a former member of the Medicine Hat College Rattlers golf team, and is an assistant golf pro at the Connaught Golf Club.

He has won several adaptive golf championships over the years.
