The Medicine Hat Tigers have signed another American prospect.

Forward Kade Stengrim has inked a WHL scholarship and development agreement with the team.

The 2007-born player is one Tigers assistant general manager Bobby Fox said they are thrilled to have.

“He’s a power forward with a combination of size, speed, and a wicked shot that make him hard to defend,” Fox said.

“He’s dangerous off the rush and has strength below the goal line protecting the puck and delivering reverse hits, bringing a unique edge to our lineup,” he added.

“Having proudly represented Team USA at the Hlinka Cup and competing in games with the NTDP, Kade is poised to make an immediate impact.”

The 6’4″ 201 pound forward from Brainerd, MN played for the USHL‘s Youngstown Phantoms last season scoring 11 times, with 17 points across 50 games.

He also suited up for four games with the U.S. National U18 Team.
