Roommate conflict leads to arrest by Medicine Hat Police

Medicine Hat Police responded to a conflict between roommates that escalated over the noon hour on Friday.

When police arrived at the residence on 2nd Street Southeast, they say they learned that a man was observed taking property from the home and loading items into a vehicle.

Police determined that the man was in the process of moving from the home, and was accused of taking property belonging to his roommate.

An argument ensued between the roommates and police say the accused armed himself with a bat and assaulted the victim and damaged property in the home.
