A man has been arrested after a storage facility in Medicine Hat’s south end was robbed, police say.

Officers patrolling the area of 10th Avenue Southwest at about 3:30 a.m. on June 2 found a cut security fence, according to a Wednesday news release.

Upon further investigation inside the compound, they found several recreational vehicles had been forcefully entered, police reported.

Utilizing a drone and a police K-9 team, the officers located several items that had been stolen that were stashed a short distance from the compound.

The Medicine Hat Police Service said two suspects were identified through a continued investigation.

A 46-year-old Medicine Hat male was arrested Monday and charged with 11 counts of break, enter and theft and breach of probation, according to the release.

He was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody to appear in Medicine Hat Court of Justice on Wednesday.

The investigation is still ongoing.
