Medicine Hat Mavericks remain undefeated heading to Swift Current

The Medicine Hat Mavericks remain undefeated as they head to Swift Current on Friday to take on the 57s for the team’s first road game of the year.

It will be the Mavs’ third game in five nights, with a return to Athletic Park for a pair of home games on Saturday and Sunday.

On Thursday night, the Mavs held on for a 13-10 win over the Moose Jaw Miller Express.

The Mavs were in full control of the contest going into the eighth inning with a 10-3 lead before the Express rallied for seven runs to tie the game up.

With Evan Morrison up to bat for the Mavs in the bottom of the eighth, he wasted little time getting the lead back, hitting a solo home run on the second pitch to make the score 11-10.
