No charges filed after airsoft gun seized, Medicine Hat police say

Medicine Hat police said Monday no charges were filed after receiving a report of a dispute involving a firearm.

At about 10:36 p.m. last Friday, members of the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a 13th Avenue Southeast business.

It was reported that two individuals had a verbal argument, during which one of them produced a firearm and threatened the other, police said.

The suspect left in a vehicle that was subsequently located by police. The vehicle’s five occupants were arrested.

Police found a black Heckler airsoft nine millimetre replica pistol in the vehicle, according to a news release.
