Brooks Bandits take on Chiefs in Game 3 of BCHL finals

May 20, 2025 | 9:54 AM

The Brooks Bandits are in Chilliwack on Tuesday night for Game 3 of the best of seven BCHL final series with the Chiefs.

The series is split at one a piece after the Bandits won Game 1 by a 5-3 score on Friday, and dropped Game 2 on Sunday 4-3, both at Centennial Regional Arena.

The Bandits had five different goal scorers in Game 1, while the Chiefs had three different players find the back of the net.

In Game 2 the offense was again spread out with nobody from either team scoring more than once in the contest.

Over the two contests Chiefs goaltender Quentin Gibson has stopped 61 of 68 shots, while Bandits netminder Zach Zahara hasn’t been quite as busy turning aside 43 of 50 shots.

Game 3 is underway at 8 p.m. at the Chilliwack Coliseum, with Game 4 set for the same time on Wednesday night.

Game 5 will be back at the Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks Friday at 7 p.m.

This is the Bandits first time competing for the Fred Page Cup, during the first full season in the BCHL.

The Chiefs who relocated to Chilliwack from Quesnel in 2011 have been to the BCHL finals twice since in 2016 and 2017, having lost both times.

The Bandits are seven time AJHL Champions, and have won the national junior A championship four times
