Medicine Hat’s Gilchrist drafted by Victoria Royals

Medicine Hat’s Carter Gilchrist has been drafted in the Western Hockey League Prospects Draft by the Victoria Royals.

Selected in round six with pick 128, Gilchrist played the last two seasons for the South East Athletic Club Tigers U15 AAA team in Medicine Hat.

In 34 regular season games with the Tigers in the Alberta Elite Hockey League, Gilchrist put up 18 goals, 22 assists and 40 points.

With no points across two playoff games, he put up 14 points with the Tigers in 34 games the season prior.
