The Brooks Bandits are in the driver’s seat heading into games three and four of the British Columbia Hockey League‘s Interior Conference Final.

On Friday and Saturday the Bandits won a pair of games in Penticton over the Vees to give them a 2-0 series lead, and a chance to sweep with two more wins on home ice.

Game one was a close 2-1 victory for the Bandits at the South Okanagen Events Centre.

Bandits goaltender Zach Zahara stopped 30 shots, with the teams goals coming from Parker Lalonde with his eighth of the post season and Nathan Brown with his first.

In game two, Zahara played strong in net once again stopping all 19 shots in a 3-0 Bandits win.

A pair of powerplay goals from Bandits defenseman Keith McInnis and forward Nick Peluso, along with an empty netter from forward Parker Lalonde provided the teams offense.

The Bandits have now won 10 straight playoff games after dropping their first game of the playoffs to the West Kelowna Warriors.

Game 3 goes Monday, Game 4 is on Tuesday at Centennial Regional Arena.
