————————————————-

The Medicine Hat Tigers are just one win away from their first WHL Finals appearance since 2007.

Coming off the heels of a thrilling 7-6 overtime win last night in Game 3, momentum sits firmly on the shoulders of the Tigers.

But the fourth game is always the hardest to win, and the Lethbridge Hurricanes will aim to keep their season alive and force a Game 5 back in Medicine Hat on Friday.

Last night, the Tigers never led until overtime, trailing by multiple goals on four separate occasions throughout the night.

Medicine Hat is now a staggering 21-1 since February 22nd and have won their last seven games against the Hurricanes dating back to Christmas.

Freshly minted Milwaukee Admiral Oasiz Wiesblatt played overtime hero in the Game 3 thriller, and in doing so extended his point streak to 24 games.

Wiesblatt’s point streak is now the second longest in the WHL this season, second only to linemate Gavin McKenna’s 52-game heater.

Tanner Molendyk had his most productive offensive showing of the playoffs, recording four points in the win, including a highlight-reel goal.

Expect more of the same from Medicine Hat tonight, who will look to secure their first Eastern Conference Championship banner since 2007.

Puck drop for Game 4 is slated for 7 p.m. tonight, and the pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m. live on WILD 94.5.
