Overtime Update:

Oasiz Wiesblatt wins it for the Tigers after Gavin McKenna forced a turnover to force a 2-on-0 that Wiesblatt finished off to win it for the Tigers.

Medicine Hat takes a commanding 3-0 series lead.

Game 4 goes tomorrow

3rd Period Update:

We are headed to overtime in Game 3!

A Bryce Pickford point shot beat Jackson Unger with 70 seconds left in the third period to tie the game at six and ultimately force overtime.

Tiger goals from Bryce Pickford, Mathew Ward, and Kadon McCann.

Hurricane goals came from Brayden Yager and Miguel Marques.

Shots through three periods: 43-25 Tigers.

Medicine Hat is 2/4 on the penalty kill and 1/2 on the power play.

2nd Period Update:

The Tigers find the back of the net three times but trail the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3 entering the second intermission.

Medicine Hat goals came from Ryder Ritchie, Liam Ruck, and Tanner Molendyk

1st Period Update:

The Lethbridge Hurricanes strike with a pair of goals eight minutes apart and lead the Medicine Hat Tigers 2-0 through the opening period of Game 3.

Gizowski and Chadwick were the goal scorers for the Hurricanes, with Gizowski’s goal coming on the power play.

Both teams had a power play, but the Hurricanes were the only team to capitalize.

Shots are 11-9 for the Tigers.

The Medicine Hat Tigers lead the Eastern Conference Final 2-0 over the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

The Tigers won games one and two by a combined score of 12-4, and chased the Hurricanes’ starting netminder, Jackson Unger, in both affairs.

Over the last decade, teams that have held a 2-0 series lead have gone on to win 88% of the time (60/68).

Tigers netminder Harrison Meneghin has been stellar through two games, to the tune of winning his second consecutive WHL Goaltender of the Week honor.

Meneghin’s outstanding play can be traced back even farther with his last loss coming on February 21st.

Since then, Meneghin has gone 15-0-0 while boasting a 2.02GAA and a 0.919SV%.

Meneghin will get the start tonight as the Medicine Hat Tigers look to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series, and put themselves on the precipice of the WHL Finals.
