Medicine Hat home prices up this year while low inventory continues, new data shows
The cost of buying a home in Medicine Hat is continuing to rise while inventory drops year over year, according to March figures from the Alberta Real Estate Association.
Residential unit prices are 10 per cent higher this year so far compared to the same period last year while sales in March are down 5.8 per cent compared to 2024, the new data shows.
The average price for semi-detached units is up 20 per cent year over year at $385,188, the largest jump by far out of the four residential unit types.
Cathie Catalano, president of the Medicine Hat Real Estate Board, said the figures reflect a demand for the semis.
