A trio of powerplay goals amidst a four-goal second period helped power the Medicine Hat Tigers to a 6-4 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals.

Six different Tigers found the back of the net, with 15 of the 18 skaters recording at least a point in the game.

Oasiz Wiesblatt was named first star, recording a goal and an assist, while Bryce Pickford picked up second star honors with a two-assist performance.

Jordan Switzer got his first career playoff win, stopping 16 of 20 shots.

Evan Smith, Daxon Rudolph, Dayce Derkatch, and Brayden Dubee all scored their first career playoff goals in the defeat for Prince Albert.

Goaltender of the year nominee Max Hildebrand was chased from the net after allowing five goals on 32 shots through two periods.

Dimtri Fortin came in to relieve Hildebrand in the third period and stopped three of four shots he faced.

Game 2 goes tomorrow night inside Co-op Place at 6:00 pm where the Tigers will aim to take a 2-0 series lead over the Raiders before the series swings back to Prince Albert.
