WHL and Victory+ strike ‘most comprehensive streaming deal in junior hockey history’

Mar 21, 2025 | 12:23 PM

In a groundbreaking deal, the WHL and Victory+ will stream all WHL games for free, beginning with the 2025 WHL Playoffs.

The deal provides fans unprecedented access to all WHL games, regardless of location, with no blackout restrictions.

“This alliance with Victory+ will vastly extend the reach of the WHL product and give hockey fans around the world visibility to our great players competing at the very highest level of junior hockey,” WHL Commissioner Dan Near said in a statement Thursday.

Near, in his first season as WHL commissioner, also spearheaded the ‘Wednesday Night in the Dub’ showcase that has garnered traction league-wide.

This deal with Victory+ will allow fans to stream all WHL games for free and access an archive of classic WHL games.

Fans will be able to stream games across multiple devices, access condensed highlights of games, and view full game replays.

Victory+ will become the one-stop-shop for all things WHL and will look to incorporate more on-demand and exclusive content for fans to get an even deeper look into their favorite WHL squad.

Victory+ can be downloaded on your iOS or Android device, laptop, Roku, Smart TV, Amazon Fire stick, and more.

The deal takes effect March 28 when the WHL playoffs begin.
