Medicine Hat residents invited to neighbourhood association information night

Feb 25, 2025 | 5:00 PM

Medicine Hat residents are invited to learn more about neighbourhood associations at an information night scheduled for Feb. 25 at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre.

The event is a chance for residents to meet and connect with others who share their passion for building stronger, tight-knit neighbourhoods, organizers say.

Attendees can receive guidance from experienced mentors to help with the next steps of forming an association.

The Neighbourhood Associations of Medicine Hat and Area event is also costed by the city, Alberta Health Services, the local immigration partnership and the public school division.

Chair Shantel Ottenbreit says that neighbourhood associations “are important platforms for collaboration, giving residents the connections, relationships, and tools to work together.”

“Come connect with other proud Hatters from your neighbourhood as we collectively work to form an even more vibrant, united community,” she added in a news release.

Interested residents are asked to register in advance. The event is taking place inside the Esplanade’s studio theatre.
