Alberta MLAs travelling to U.S. for year-end conferences
Alberta MLAs are heading to the United States for a year-end tour with lawmakers and other partners to set the stage for cooperation in 2025.
The tour will begin with Justin Wright, MLA for Cypress-Medicine Hat, joining his U.S. counterparts at the Council of State Governments (CSG) West’s Western Legislative Academy in Colorado Springs from Dec. 9-14.
This is a multi-day legislative leadership training program designed for learning, policy discussions and network building.
“I am honoured to have been nominated by my legislative counterparts to join them as Alberta’s very first participant in this esteemed program. I look forward to establishing our province as a valuable addition to the academy and am excited to champion Alberta as a secure, stable and reliable trade and investment partner with key influencers in state-level policy circles,” said Wright.
