An annual event aimed at boosting local businesses is taking over parts of downtown Medicine Hat.
Midnight Madness runs from Friday at 4 p.m. to midnight, featuring special offers, giveaways and live entertainment.

The annual Diwali festival is taking place on Saturday at 6 p.m.
It promises an “unforgettable night of fun and dance” at the Cypress Centre Auditorium.

The Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Saskatoon Blades on Saturday evening at Co-op Place.
That will be after returning from Edmonton where they play the Oil Kings Friday night.

The Drumheller Festival of Lights — a free, family-friendly event — runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. downtown Drumheller.
There will be live entertainment, wagon rides, an appearance by the Grinch and light-shopping deals.

The Medicine Hat Public Library is hosting a write to Santa Clause event.
It runs from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Those interested are asked to bring their holiday wishes and drop their letters in a special mailbox, ensuring they reach the North Pole.

The 2024 edition of the Winter Market at First is running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
It’s hosted by the First Assembly Church and will feature 54 vendor tables.
