Tigers’ Cayden Lindstrom expected to return after minor back surgery
Cayden Lindstrom has undergone a minor back surgery and is expected to play again this season after rehabilitation, an official with the Columbus Blue Jackets said Wednesday, teasing a return for one of the Medicine Hat Tigers’ star forwards.
The Blue Jackets organization expects the surgery to be a one-time procedure that will lead to a full recovery for the Chetwynd, B.C., native, Columbus general manager Don Waddell said.
Lindstrom will opt out of any practice and rest for 30 days, according to Waddell.
The 20-year-old played his last regular-season game in December 2024 before taking to the ice four times in the post-season as he dealt with a back injury.
