Write Your World: Creative Writing Workshop

Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.

Tweens! Explore your creativity through fun writing prompts and activities. Learn to create interesting characters, develop exciting plots and share your ideas in a supportive environment. For ages 10-12 years old. Online registration required.

Dinovember: They’re Baaaack!

Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.

The dinosaurs are making a grand return! Grab your favourite dino buddy and join us for an hour of roaring good fun as we celebrate “Dinovember”!

Enjoy a tyranno-rific storytime, followed by a creative craft and other exciting activities. Children must have an adult caregiver present with them at all times during this program. For ages 4-6 years old. Online registration required.

TeenVerse Reads: BYOB

Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m.

A Bring Your Own Book session of TeenVerse Reads! This unique book club meeting will include a sharing circle where you’ll talk about the books that inspire you, followed by a book “tasting” where you can sample new titles from different genres.

Plus, we’ll make miniature versions of your favourite books, and turn them into jewelry, a magnet or a pin. For ages 13-19 years old. Snacks provided.

Write to Santa

Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.

Enjoy a festive afternoon of writing letters to Santa! Bring your Holiday wishes and drop your letters in our special mailbox, ensuring they reach the North Pole. Let’s celebrate the magic of the season together!

A Night with Jared Tailfeathers

Nov. 29 at 7 p.m.

Jared Tailfeathers, author, artist and scholar, will be joining us to discuss his new book: The Art of Making: Rediscovering the Blackfoot Legacy. He will also discuss important Indigenous historical sites in Alberta, including those found in the southeast. A book signing and reception will follow.
