With cold temperature approaching, baseball fans can look forward to knowing the schedule for the boys of summer in Medicine Hat.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks have released their schedule for the 2025 Western Canadian Baseball League season.

The Mavs open the 56-game season at Athletic Park on Wednesday, May 28 against the Okotoks Dawgs, with their final home game on the road on Aug. 4 hosted by the Saskatoon Berries.

Playing in the East division again for the 2025 season, the Mavs will only play their closest geographical opponent in the Brooks Bombers, an West division team twice.

Both games against the Bombers go at Athletic Park on June 6 and 17.

The league all-star game goes Sat, July 19 in Okotoks at Seaman Stadium.

League playoffs will run between Aug. 6 and Aug. 15.

The Mavericks announced earlier in the week they had 35,952 fans come through the gates at Athletic Park during the 2024 WCBL season.

This put the Mavs with an average attendance of 1,284 fans per game, up just slightly from the 1,266 they averaged in 2023.

They ranked 4th in the WCBL and 66th among all summer collegiate leagues in North America for average attendance.
