Here is what’s on during the weekend of Oct. 25-27 in Medicine Hat and area:

🧥 Donate or get a winter coat

The annual Coats on Finlay initiative is running from noon on Saturday until 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Anyone can pick up a coact at the downtown bridge during that time.

Those who want to donate a coat can visit Finlay Bridge Saturday afternoon.

Coats that are leftover will be donated to the Caring Coats program at the Salvation Army.

🐅 Tigers play Rebels, Pats

The Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Rebels in Red Deer on Friday evening.

The Tigers return to Co-op Place to play the Regina Pats at home on Saturday.

📺 Entertainment expo

Medicine Hat’s very own comic-con type event is running on Saturday.

The Gas City Entertainment Expo runs from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede grounds.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

👻 Silver Buckle haunted house

The Silver Buckle is running a haunted house starting Friday night until Halloween.

It opens for adults Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

All-age hours for families and children will be on offer from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

🎙 Tall Boys open mic

An open mic hosted by the Tall Boys runs Friday night starting at 7 p.m.

It promises an enjoyable night of singing with friends.

Attendees are asked to bring their instrument and their voice.

It kicks off at Travois Ale Works at 7 p.m.

🎃 Pumpkin smash

Saturday, 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Great Pumpkin Smash is on at the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre.

It’s a family-friendly free event with live music, treats, hands-on activities and pumpkin smashing.

Pumpkin supply for the smashing is limited to 500.

🌲 Forest of Fear

Saturday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Something is strange in the enchanted forest, say organizers of the Forest of Fear haunted forest walk at Police Point Park.

Tickets for the walk can be purchased in-person at the Nature Centre for $20. They will not be available at the door.

The walk is meant for teenagers and adults. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

🍴 Pumpkin carving

Saturday, 6 p.m.

MT Nest Cafe and Market is hosting its Pumpkin Carving Party on Saturday evening.

Attendees should bring their own pumpkin and the carving tools will be provided.

Goulish-themed snacks and drinks will be available.
