Premier Smith, MLA Wright holding Medicine Hat town hall tonight

Oct 9, 2024 | 2:00 PM

Premier Danielle Smith and Justin Wright, the two MLAs representing residents of Medicine Hat, are holding a town hall on Wednesday evening.

Smith, MLA of Brooks-Medicine Hat, and Wright, who represents the riding of Cypress-Medicine Hat, will answer pre-submitted questions as well as live audience questions.

Those who wish to submit questions ahead of time can email Cypress.MedicineHat@Assembly.ab.ca or Brooks.MedicineHat@Assembly.ab.ca.

The town hall is taking place in the Eresman College Theatre at Medicine Hat College. It begins at 7 p.m. but doors open at 6 p.m.

The last time the two United Conservative MLAs held a town hall was in February.

It was marked by hecklers and walk-outs over Smith’s proposed gender policies and Alberta pension plan.

Others applauded her takes on the economy, environment and issues local to the area.
