The 600 block is completed and will reopen to vehicles by noon on Tuesday.

The opened section will operate as two-way traffic until the final stage of construction is complete, the city said in a news release.

That final stage of 2024 will get underway between mid-morning and noon with the closure of the intersection of Sixth Avenue Southeast and Third Street.

That will merge work zones with the 500 block of Third Street, an area that remains under construction.

The 2024 part of the project is expected to be completed by early November, according to the city.
