Fire in southeast Medicine Hat destroys single car garage

City firefighters were called to a blaze in a single detatched garage in East Glen just before noon on Labour Day.

Quick work kept the fire from spreading to a nearby home, although the garage was lost.

No one was hurt.

Damage is estimated at 50 thousand dollars and the cause remains under investigation.

The fire alarm came in at 11:20 am Monday.

The garage was in the zero hundred block of Ewart Crescent s.e.
