A special weather statement issued for Brooks by Environment Canada has since been lifted.
An earlier funnel clouds alert for Medicine Hat was also lifted.
Heavy rainfall and strong winds were expected to arrive in Brooks on Wednesday, according to a special weather statement issued by Environment Canada.
