A 54-year-old Medicine Hat man forcibly entered a residence in the South Flats neighbourhood early Wednesday morning, police say.
The Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a report of a break and enter at 2:52 a.m., according to a statement released Thursday.
The homeowners were present when their home was broken into by a suspect not known to them, police said.
When police arrived, the suspect was taken into custody with the assistance of the homeowner.
