Two brothers charged after ALERT Medicine Hat seizes $20K in drugs
Two brothers have been charged with multiple drug-related offenses after ALERT Medicine Hat seized $20,000 worth of methamphetamine, cocaine and other illicit pills and substances.
ALERT, with help from the Medicine Hat Police Service, made the arrests on Aug. 7, authorities said Monday.
The specialized unit began its investigation in May 2024 by using an intelligence-led response to community concerns related to drug trafficking and overdoses.
“Our investigation suggests these two suspects were actively trafficking drugs throughout the city of Medicine Hat,” ALERT Sgt. Curt Nieman said.
