Select Medicine Hat workers will start work earlier on hot days

Some of Medicine Hat’s parks and recreation workers will be starting work earlier in the morning during days of extreme heat.

These workers may be starting as early as 5 a.m. to avoid prolonged heat exposure during peak hours of the day, the city said Friday.

This may include staff who use equipment such as mowers and other machinery that may be heard by residents while in use, according to a statement.
