Redcliff expects water boil advisory will lift by Thursday

The Town of Redcliff expects its water boil advisory will lift by Thursday.

The advisory was activated Sunday afternoon after a systems failure at the town’s water treatment plant caused by a disruption to the main computer’s power supply.

The failure resulted in a loss of distribution pressure. Residents reported little to no water pressure, discolouration and poor taste.

Alberta Health Services issued a boil water order as a “safety precaution”, the town said. It will take Alberta Environment and AHS approval for the order to be revoked.
