Canada Day festivities are taking place in Medicine Hat over the course of Sunday, June 30, and Monday, July 1.
There’s the Kin Coulee Park festival that gets underway Sunday night with a dance party and fireworks put on by The Connection. The festival continues during the day on Monday.
Canada Day fun will also kick off at the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede grounds on Monday.

Redcliff is holding Canada Day activities starting at 9 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, courtesy of the Redcliff Lions Club.
Many of the Canada Day festivities are weather dependent.

Medicine Hat Kinsmen Club is quacking up the excitement with its Duck Derby this weekend, featuring a thousand determined ducks ready to race for a cause.

Medicine Hat JazzFest is wrapping up this weekend.
Jazz Jam gets underway on Saturday at 2 p.m. on the Esplanade front lawn, for free.
Sabor a Cuba Latin Band will perform in a double bill with The Hip Katz at 7 p.m. Mary Ancheta Quartet will close out Saturday with a performance at 9 p.m.
PJ Perry Quintet and Al Muirhead will close out the festival with a performance at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
