Emergency services running mock car crash exercise at Medicine Hat College

Emergency service agencies are running a mock car crash exercise at Medicine Hat College on Friday.

The exercise, coordinated by the Alberta Health Services Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth, will be attended by Grade 9 students.

It starts at 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

The program’s goal is to give students information about trauma to enable the mto identify potential injury-producing situation, make prevention-orientated choices and adopt less risky behaviours.

The Medicine Hat Police Service has asked people to avoid the area, if possible, to ensure that emergency vehicles will have easy access to the mock scenario as required.
