Medicine Hat real estate remains a sellers market in April

New listings drove real estate sales in Medicine Hat last month, but there were more sales than listings pushing prices higher again.

The Medicine Hat Real Estate Board says there were 127 new listings and 117 sales in April, leaving inventory lower than normal.

That favors sellers and year to date average prices are up 8 per cent.

In a release, the board says prices have risen across most property types, with faster growth occurring for the relatively more affordable row and apartment style product.

With just over one month of supply, conditions are favouring the seller and driving price growth.
